RELATIONSHIP REWARD

The relationship reward is a fee saving scheme for Australian Military Bank members. Essentially, the more you borrow and save with Australian Military Bank the fewer fees you will pay.

Your average monthly balance of your combined accounts (loans, credit cards, investments and savings), is used to calculate a fee rebate that is credited to your account. This amount will either reduce or eliminate your everyday banking fees.

With the exception of Junior Saver (S3) accounts, Recruit Salary Saver (S16) accounts and Military Rewards Accounts (S18), all Australian Military Bank accounts are eligible to receive the Relationship Reward if they meet the following conditions:

1. The account must attract fees for the following types of transactions:

  • ATM (excluding ATM direct charge fees which are charged by the ATM operator)
  • EFTPOS
  • BPAY®
  • Direct debit
  • Online external transfers (i.e. transfers to non Australian Military Bank accounts)

2. The total average balances of the accounts and/or loans must be $2,000 or more for the month.

3. No accounts may be overdrawn in the month.

To calculate your Relationship Reward rebate, your everyday banking fees for the month are totalled. If your average account balance/s falls between $2,000 and $4,999, you will receive a $3 rebate from your payable fees.

For each additional $5,000 (or part thereof), another $1 is added to your Relationship Reward rebate.

The Relationship Reward rebate is calculated on the total average balance of all accounts on the membership. However each account can only contribute to the balance of one membership. This means that the balance of a joint account will only attribute to the primary joint member's Relationship Reward.

An Australian Military Bank mortgage can entitle members to a potentially sizeable Relationship Reward rebate. However, only the primary account holder on a joint mortgage can receive the Relationship Reward rebate.
