TRAVEL MONEY & FOREIGN EXCHANGE

You can send money overseas via Internet Banking, a Telegraphic Transfer.

A Telegraphic Transfer (TT) are electronic payments in a specified currency that are credited directly into a nominated bank account. TTs are the preferred method to make large value international payments as they are processed quickly, cost-effectively and securely in over 100 currencies.

To send a TT, you will need to contact your closest Australian Military Bank branch who will facilitate the payment for you. You will be required to provide the details of person or entity to whom you wish to credit the funds, including their name, address and bank account details.

Visit any one of our branches to complete your request.

You need the below details to complete the request:

  • Recipient's full name
  • Recipient's full street address (PO Box address is not accepted)
  • Bank’s name
  • Bank's full street address (including country)
  • Bank's code (swift code, routing number or sort code)
  • Recipient's bank account number
  • IBAN (if applicable)

The funds will usually arrive to the destination bank within 2-3 business days. Please note some currencies may take longer than others to arrive.

To receive funds from overseas into your Australian bank account, you will need to provide payment instructions. Complete the form here and send to the person/business sending you the funds.

Once it is credited into your account, it can take up to 25 days to clear.
